THE 7 VALUES THAT FUEL OUR CHURCH:
1 Corinthians 9:19-23 (MSG)
19-23 Even though I am free of the demands and expectations of everyone, I have voluntarily become a servant to any and all in order to reach a wide range of people: religious, nonreligious, meticulous moralists, loose-living immoralists, the defeated, the demoralized—whoever. I didn’t take on their way of life. I kept my bearings in Christ—but I entered their world and tried to experience things from their point of view. I’ve become just about every sort of servant there is in my attempts to lead those I meet into a God-saved life. I did all this because of the Message. I didn’t just want to talk about it; I wanted to be in on it!
JESUS IS OUR MESSAGE
We share a simple message: Jesus lived, Jesus died, Jesus rose again. It is only in Him we find true hope, peace, and purpose for our lives.
PEOPLE ARE OUR PASSION
As a church we exist to reach people of all ages, races, and walks of life. They are the heartbeat of Jesus and the purpose we are a church. The church should be a place of hope, help, and healing. We believe you can belong before you believe.
SERVING IS OUR CALLING
In a culture that can become extremely focused on ‘self’, we believe that call of Christ is to focus on others. When we serve others through various methods in the church and in our communities we believe the spirit of God is there with us doing a great work that can’t be done outside of living lives of servitude.
EXCELLENCE IS OUR STANDARD
We believe if anything is worth doing it is worth doing right. Excellence is required not sought after in everything we do.
GENEROSITY IS OUR PRIVILEGE
We’re committed to living our lives open-handed. Our time, talents, and resources are given to us as a gift and we want to steward these gifts well. We believe we’re called to give sacrificially and practice extravagant generosity. When we live this way, we believe God then trusts us with more.
HONOR IS OUR HEART
We’re committed to honoring full circle. We honor those who lead us, who live along side us, and those we are called to lead. Honor is not optional, it’s a lifestyle. We’re a ‘young church’ that holds high this ‘old value’.
FUN IS ESSENTIAL
This life is too good to be lived boringly. Fun is one of the most underrated values in church….not at Adore!
